פצי

פְּצֵי, פְּצָא(b. h. פָּצָה) (to split) 1) to open (the mouth). Targ. Job 35:6 (Ms. פָּאצֵי). 2) (cmp. פָּדָה a. פָּדַע) to rescue, save. Ib. 36:16 פְּצָאִינָךְ (h. text הסיתך). Targ. Ps. 22:9; a. fr. 3) (cmp. פָּצַע) to branch off. Ab. Zar.17a חד פָּצֵי לע״זוכ׳ Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) one road branched off towards an idolatrous temple, and another to a house of prostitution. 4) to pass between. Pes.111a ואי פ׳ Ar.
